KATHMANDU: Three of the five people injured in the Simrik Air chopper crash have been flown to Kathmandu for treatment.

Two people were taken to Khandbari District Hospital. Three badly injured people were flown to Kathmandu.

The crash took place at Hammaredanda of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 while landing. The helicopter was carrying materials for the Upper Arun hydropower project.

Simrik Air’s chopper transporting cargo from the Upper Arun Hydroelectric Project crashed while landing at Bhotkhola-4 Hammaredanda in Sankhuwasabha.

According to Simrik Air officials, the chopper was transporting supplies to the Upper Arun Hydropower Project site.

The chopper crashed during landing.
