Businessman Kandel death case: Complaint against two people
Both individuals are being sought in connection with the complaint, according to Superintendent of Police Karki.
CHITWAN: A complaint has been lodged against two people in the death of poultry businessman Shankar Kandel. On Tuesday evening, Kandel was discovered dead at his office in Narayangadh.
On behalf of the family, a complaint has been filed against businessman Pradeep Rungta, who bought 85 percent of the company’s shares, and Jeevan Rawal, a chartered accountant working in Kandel’s company.
Rameshwor Karki, Chief Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Chitwan, stated that the report was received late at night via the social networking site WhatsApp.
Kandel was a member of the Nepali Congress Chitwan General Committee. On behalf of the family, Congress Chitwan President Rajeshwar Khanal sent a complaint to police chief Karki’s WhatsApp. President Khanal stated that he filed another lawsuit after reviewing Kandel’s suicide note. Kandel sold his shareholding in Anmol Feeds Pvt Ltd to businessman Rungta a few months back.
According to the authorities, Rungta and Rawal put him under mental duress while reconciling internal finances following the sale of shares.
Both individuals are being sought in connection with the complaint, according to Superintendent of Police Karki.
He stated that the investigation into the incident had begun in the evening. He was well-liked in the Kandel neighborhood. He was running for the position of Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality, however he dropped out after the alliance was formed. He lived in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality-8.
