KATHMANDU: The government and Mahabir Pun, the founder of the National Innovation Center who went on hunger strike seeking different requests from the government, have reached an accord.

According to reports, an agreement was struck during the Monday discussion.

There was a discussion between Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka and the Pun side at Singha Durbar.

Pun went on an indefinite hunger strike in Maitighar on Friday, demanding that the current government spend more in creativity, research, and invention.

He was also backed by a number of political parties and groups.

According to reports, a agreement was reached between the government and Pun after the government agreed to do nothing wrong in order to appropriately satisfy his requests.
