‘A’ division: Manang suffers a sixth consecutive defeat

KATHMANDU: Manang Marsyangdi Club, the eight-time champions, were defeated for the sixth time in a row in the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League Football.

Church Boys won thanks to goals from Ananta Tamang, Mausham Subba, and Simon Limbu.
Captain Anant scored from Sushil Shah’s cross in the 41st minute to give Church Boys an early lead.
Mausham scored in the 55th minute to put Church Boys ahead 2-0. With a pass from Joseph Bempah, he scored from inside the penalty area.
Then, in injury time, Simon scored to give Church Boys a 3-0 win. He scored off a pass from Milan Rai.
This is the fifth victory of Church Boys. Church boys have scored 21 points in 13 games.
For the first time, Manang lost in 6 consecutive games. Manang has scored 15 points in 13 games.
