Office of the commission of inquiry regarding meter-bagging inaugurated in Janakpur

JANAKPURDHAM: Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, inaugurated and established the Central Office of the Usury Investigation Commission on Sunday morning.

Following the poor and destitute common people were terrorized by meter-bagging moneylenders and marched on Kathmandu, the government formed a three-member commission to investigate.
The same commission’s central office has been launched in Janakpurdham.
The government formed committee of inquiry constituted to address the issue of meter badges has also urged victims to make a complaint. Victims can submit a complaint at any of the 77 district administration offices.
To handle complaints from usury victims, help desks have been established in every district administration offices. The location where the employee will fill out the application form.
The Commission has set the period for filing complaints as 17th Baisakh (April 30) to 31st Baisakh (May 14).
