Vaccination drive launched for children left out during regular schedule

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) today organised a vaccination programme targeting those children deprived of vaccines in the government regular schedule.

Thirteen sorts of vaccines will be administered to children under five years during the campaign.
In Nepal, 80 percent children are fully vaccinated, 20 percent are partially vaccinated and four percent have not been immunized at all.
The outbreak of measles and rubella in some districts prompted the government to launch an additional vaccination drive.
The Ministry has urged one and all to take their children to the nearest health facilities and ensure that they receive all vaccines provided by it.
