In Pics: Mahabir Pun’s protest at Maitighar

KATHMANDU: The National Innovation Center’s founder, Mahabir Pun, has begun to protest.

He started the movement ‘Social Movements for Research, Innovation and Discovery’ in Maitighar Mandala.

He criticized the government of neglecting research and development.

Those who sat in protest with Mahabir held signs with phrases like “encourage startup entrepreneurs,” “youth participation in research, innovation, and the innovation world.”

It was envisioned in the science, technology, and innovation strategy introduced in 2076 to establish a fund, and it was said that the innovation fund would be administered by placing 1 billion rupees in it, however the government took no action in this regard.
