KSBB to be the development banking partner of Business Summit 2023

KATHMANDU: Nepal Business Summit 2023 will have as its development banking partner Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank (KSBB).

The Federal Government’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supply, the Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal (CBIFIN), and the Nepal Business Institute signed a memorandum of understanding today for Kamna Sewa Bikas Bank to be a development banking partner in the business summit to be held on May 7 in a joint project.

Chief Executive Officer Binay Dahal and Executive Chair Bishal Gaire signed the agreement on behalf of Nepal Business Institute today during a special event in Kathmandu.

Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank is a development bank that has been offering the best banking services in accordance with the demands of its customers and in a timely manner.

National and international speakers will present their reports on the latest economic situation in the financial and banking sector, the telecommunication sector and the Digital Nepal Framework in the summit which will be organized in an international format with the main slogan of ‘Current Economic Scenario and Roadmap to Prosperity’.

Dahal expressed his delight that he would be able to participate in the business summit for entrepreneurship and business promotion on behalf of Bikas Bank during a signing ceremony, since economic development is the cornerstone of prosperity.

Bishal Gaire, executive chair of Nepal Business Institute and conference coordinator, the summit aims to protect large industries, encourage small, medium, and startup enterprises, identify new investment areas, and expand investment in productive, employment, and export sectors. Shristina Mandhar, Head of Brand, CSR, and Services Division of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, was also present at the signing ceremony.

According to him, the conference will assist entrepreneurs tackle policy and practical challenges, attract more investment, encourage exports, and help establish a self-sufficient economy through partnerships and investments.

The summit will aid in increasing domestic production, promoting consumption and exports, creating job opportunities, expanding investment by identifying potential investment areas, attracting youth and women to enterprises and businesses, and increasing investment in innovative sectors through the upgrading of domestic, small and medium-sized industries, banks, and financial institutions.

It is also predicted that a high degree of networking will occur via increasing the interaction between the three levels of government, the commercial sector, and diplomatic missions for the sector’s long-term promotion.

A substantial policy conversation will be held at the summit, with senior officials from Nepal’s government and subordinate agencies, leading politicians, specialists, and high officials from diplomatic missions and international donor organizations all taking part.

ATM services are being provided from 77 locations of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, which is providing services from 134 branches and one extension counter in the country.

Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has been providing regular services as well as special account services to the visually impaired and athletes.

Services such as mobile banking are being provided with different facilities so that even the visually impaired can use them easily. It has also been providing medical and accident insurance for the players.
