NICCI appoints new executive committee
The meeting elected Rupak Rajbanshi as the vice president of the chamber.

KATHMANDU: The Nepal-Italy Chambers of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), the economic umbrella organization between Nepal and Italy, met on April 26 and elected a new executive committee led by chairman Sanjay Agrawal.
The meeting elected Rupak Rajbanshi as the vice president of the chamber.
The meeting also constituted four topical committees to improve the effectiveness of the chamber’s activities.
Vinod Sagtani was elected for the industry and investment promotion committee, Sarik Bogati for the tourist promotion committee, Kishor Bhattarai for the social, educational, cultural, and sports committee, and Shubash Bikram Shah for the business committee.
The newly elected committee vowed to promote Nepal-Italy relations by developing bilateral trade, tourism, information technology, and business.
NICCI seeks to strengthen Nepal-Italy economic links through joint venture investments and cooperation. It is a binational association comprised of Nepalese merchants and industrialists with connections to Italy and the Italian business community in Nepal. NICCI is the only organization of its kind founded for both countries’ mutual benefit.
The Nepal Italy Chamber wants to attract Italian investment and boost the number of Italian visitors visiting Nepal through fostering bilateral trade. Friendship, mutual interests, and amity are the bedrocks of Nepal and Italy’s relationship.
