KATHMANDU: Muktinath Bikas Bank Limited provided Rs 10 lakh in insurance claim payout to the family of Jai Prakash Gharti, who died in a road accident.

The bank has paid an insurance claim of Rs 10 lakh to the family of Jai Prakash Gharti, whose permanent home is Kohalpur Municipality-11.

Gharti’s family received some relief today for payment of an insurance claim because he opened a Muktinath great savings account with insurance capacity in this bank.

Customers who opened the Muktinath Best Savings Account were insured by the bank in partnership with Siddhartha Insurance Limited.

On Wednesday, April 26th, the bank held a program at the Kohalpur-11 ward office and handed out an amount of 10 lakhs to the deceased’s wife, Salina Wali Gharti, for the insurance claim payment.

The cash was jointly given over by the bank’s regional head, Bijay KC, and the ward president, Mrs. Kalpana Sharma. Other people’s representatives, the president of the Journalist Federation Banke Damodar Bhandari, bank personnel, and locals were all present during the same program.

Currently, the bank’s Muktinath Arshiwad Savings Account, which provides insurance up to Rs 11 million for families, is also quite popular.

In addition, to stimulate digital transactions, the bank has arranged for money to be withdrawn free of charge from ATM machines of any other bank linked with the Visa network in Nepal using this development bank’s ATM card.

Similarly, services such as prepaid dollar card, mobile banking, QR code, online loan application, online account opening, internet banking, remittance deposit in the account and mixed banking (for savings service: 9801110022, for loan service: 9801110023), etc., can be used from home without being physically present at the bank branch.
