Three Star & Machhindra play a goalless draw

KATHMANDU: Three Star Club and Machhindra Football Club have tied and scored points in the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League Football. Three Star and Machhindra drew 0-0 on Wednesday at Tripureshwor’s Dasharath Stadium.
Both teams failed to capitalize on opportunities in a competitive game. As a result, the game ended in a tie.
Chencho Gyeltshen’s header for Machhindra bounced off the top of the post in the 39th minute. Machhindra’s Chencho headed over the top of Pujan Uparkoti’s corner in the 42nd minute. Afeez Olawale’s pass by Machhindra’s Chencho hit the post bar in the 44th minute of the match. Dipesh Gurung of Three Star fired a shot from within the penalty area in the 45th minute. Santosh Shahukhal of Three Star scored from inside the penalty area in the 47th minute of the game.
Three Star’s Laken Limbu scored in the 67th minute of the game. However, offside Ajayi Martins received a touch and his goal was recognized. Mahendra Karki of Three Star cleared Machhindra’s Olawale’s header in the 70th minute. Three Star is in second place with 22 points in 12 games after this tie.
Machhindra is eighth in the standings with 17 points in 12 games.
