KATHMANDU: The counting of votes for the House of Representatives by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1 is still ongoing.

Swarnim Wagle, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate, has received 15,000 votes, according to the most recent figures.

So far, Wagle has secured 15,135 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai, who is following Wagle, has received 8,731 votes.

The gap between Bhattarai and Wagle is now 6,404.

CPN-UML’s Sarbendra Khanal, who is in third place, has received 4,999 votes.

Similarly, Shobha Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got 55 votes.

63 thousand 757 votes were cast in the by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1.
