Tanahun-1: Swarnim & Govinda differ by more than 5,000 votes

KATHMANDU: The counting of votes for the House of Representatives (HoR) by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1 is still ongoing.

Swarnim Wagle, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate, has received 13,000 votes, according to the most recent figures.

Wagle has so far garnered 13,749 votes.

Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai, who is following Wagle, has received 8,036 votes.

The distance between Bhattarai and Wagle is now 5,713.

CPN-UML’s Sarbendra Khanal, who is in third place, has received 4,395 votes.

Similarly, Shobha Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got 55 votes.

63,757 votes were cast in the by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1.
