Tanahun-1: Swarnim & Govinda differ by over 5,000 votes

KATHMANDU: The counting of votes for the House of Representatives by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1 is still ongoing.

Swarnim Wagle, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate, has received 12,000 votes, according to the most recent figures.

Wagle has so far garnered 12,705 votes.

Govinda Bhattarai, the Nepali Congress candidate who is running with Wagle, has received 7647 votes.

The vote difference between Bhattarai and Wagle is now 5,058.

CPN-UML’s Sarbendra Khanal, who is in third place, has received 4,219 votes.

Similarly, Shobha Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got 55 votes.

63 thousand 757 votes were cast in the by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1.
