Swarnim is 2800 votes ahead of Govinda & Sarbendra

KATHMANDU: The counting of ballots for the House of Representatives by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1 is still ongoing.
So far, 16343 votes have been counted, with Swarnim Wagle of the Rastriya Swatantra Party maintaining his early lead in the vote results.
He received 9198 votes, while Congress’ Govinda Bhattarai received 3806 votes. Sarbendra Khanal of the CPN-UML is in third position with 2460 votes.
The total number of votes cast by Govinda and Sarbendra is 6266. Swarnim leads him by 2852 votes.
