KLATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) provided five lakh rupees to the drug-free society Nepal (treatment center) in Lalitpur for the construction of a multi-purpose hall.

The bank provided financial support to the said organization under its corporate social responsibility on Friday.

Currently, the country’s youth are enslaved by alcohol and other drugs. Not only that, but this caste is also involved in other crimes in society.

Similarly, in order to eradicate the problem from society, the organization has been assisting people of various ages who have been abusing alcohol and drugs since its inception.

At the moment, the center is assisting approximately 100 people with this service at a very low cost.

On behalf of the bank, Ashok Shumsher Rana, the chief executive officer of the bank, handed over the amount to Sonam Sherpa, the president of the organization, in the presence of other senior officers of the bank during a ceremony.
