Fire in Bafal garment industry, one contactless

KATHMANDU: A person’s right leg was found burnt due to a fire in a garment in Bafal, Kathmandu.
On Saturday night at 9:30 pm, a person’s body was found burnt when a fire broke out in a two-storied garment of Shyam Krishna Maharjan behind Narayani petrol pump near Kathmandu Metropolitan City-13 Bafal Chowk.
Sitaram Rizal, spokesperson of the Kathmandu District Police Complex and Superintendent of Police, stated that after a fire broke out in the garment company owned by Nischal Agarwal of Makwanpur, a police squad reached and douse the fire out.
He stated that once the fire was out, the garments, equipment, and other things in the garment were burned, as well as a portion of the foot that resembled the right leg of a human being.
The burned part has been submitted to Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj for further examination.
According to reports, Bhupendra Basnet, 20, of Dolakha, who works as a driver in the same industry, is contactless.
He stated that the cause of the fire is being investigated, and that the fire damage is also being collected.
