CHITWAN: Seventeen percent of the votes has been caste in theongoing by-election in Chitwan Constituency 2.
According to Assistant Polling Officer Ishwari Acharya, until 10 a.m., 17 percent of the votes were cast.
Voting has been going on peacefully since morning in Chitwan.
Voting takes place in 138 polling stations spread across 43 locations.
The alliance’s primary candidates in Chitwan 2 are Nepali Congress’s Jeet Narayan Shrestha, CPN’s Ram Prasad Neupane, and Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Rabi Lamichhane.
In addition to them, 22 candidates are running in the election.
