KATHMANDU: Voting has started simultaneously in different polling stations of Bara 2, Chitwan 2 and Tanahun 1.
There are 69 candidates running in the by-election: 9 for Tanahun 1, 24 for Chitwan 2, and 36 for Bara 2.
The government has declared today a public holiday in all three areas where by-elections will be held.
From the 8th to the 10th of Baisakh (April 21-23), schools and government offices in the area where polling stations are located will be closed.
