Arsenal avoided defeat

KATHMANDU: Arsenal is tied with Southampton in the English Premier League.

Arsenal was held to a 3-3 tie with Southampton Friday night.

Arsenal, trailing 3-1, avoided loss by scoring two goals in the final period. Arsenal’s goal scorers were Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, and Bukayo Saka.

Carlos Alcaraz, Theo Walcott and Duje Caleta Car scored one goal for Southampton.

Arsenal now has 75 points in 32 games, five more than second-placed Manchester City. Arsenal may lose their league lead after drawing their past three games.

However, as Manchester City has played two fewer games, they now have a chance to surpass Arsenal in the Premier League.

Similarly, Southampton has 24 points from 32 games and is last in the league.
