KATHMANDU: Singer Prakash Saput has apologized for the uproar caused by the song ‘Sakambari,’ which gained over one crore views in the first seven days of its release.

He apologized to everyone who was offended by his creation in a lengthy Facebook status.

He writes, ‘I apologize to everyone who has been hurt or offended by my creation, directly or indirectly.’

The Nepal Association of Nighttime Entertainment Professionals released a statement warning Saput to remove the song or face a protest.

In the midst of this warning, singer Saput clarified his apology.
