No conclusion reached in meeting between PM Dahal & Chair Oli: Padam Giri
The meeting included a debate on proposing the Chief Justice's appointment, but no decision was made.

KATHMANDU: A meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and the main opposition CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.
Manhari Timilsina, Prime Minister’s Press Expert, informed that the meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office at Singha Durbar was held and that other items, including the meeting of the Constitutional Council, were discussed.
The appointment of the Chief Justice was not proposed since the Constitutional Council could not reach an agreement. On Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Dahal convened a constitutional council meeting.
The meeting included a debate on proposing the Chief Justice’s appointment, but no decision was made.
In response to media inquiries regarding the meeting, Chair Oli stated, “So far, so good.” We talked about a variety of current concerns.’
Following his meeting with Prime Minister Dahal, President Oli visited the UML parliamentary party’s office and spoke with the party’s leaders, including deputy leader Subaschandra Nemwang and chief whip Padam Giri.
Talking to the media about the meeting between Prime Minister Dahal and Oli, Chief Whip Giri said that there was a conversation between the two leaders about forming a parliamentary committee as soon as possible.
He said that despite the discussion, no conclusion was reached by the briefing chairman Oli before them.
He said, ‘Especially now that there are subject committees and joint committees, there was a discussion on how to solve this problem as quickly as possible and how to move the work forward by forming a committee. The discussion was intensive but no conclusion was reached. He just said that we will discuss in that way. The discussion was especially focused on the thematic committee and the joint committee. He said that there was a discussion on that matter but there was no conclusion.’
Chief Whip Giri made it clear that no agreement could be reached between the two leaders.
