KATHMANDU: In their 50th One Day International (ODI) match, Nepal has given a target of 311 runs to Oman for victory.

Nepal achieved 310 runs after losing the toss and batting first, despite losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Nepal’s all-rounder Kushal Malla scored 108 runs in 64 balls, including nine fours and ten sixes. On 59, he accomplished his century. Nepal’s middle-order batsmen, who did not have a good start, helped Nepal to a strong position by working well together.

As the team’s score remained zero, Nepal, who had lost both openers, began the scoring in the 28th ball.

For the third wicket, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel and Bhim Sarki combined for 54 runs. Captain Rohit scored 23 runs while Bhim was dismissed for 33 runs.

Kushal Malla and Aarif Sheikh batted together for 75 runs for the fifth wicket. Aarif was removed from the game after scoring 29 runs. Sompal Kami scored an undefeated half-century off 48 balls. Sompal Kami scored a half-century in 49 balls, including seven fours. Karan KC maintained his unbeaten record, scoring 29 runs off 15 balls.

Ayan Khan took two wickets for Oman, while Bilal Khan, Kalimullah Khan, Zeeshan Maqsood, Fayaz Butt, and Jatinder Singh each took one.
