Rato Machhindranath chariot nearing completion (photos)

KATHMANDU: The Rato Machhindranath Rath Yatra’s chariot has reached the end of its construction.

The height of a chariot without nails is about 20 feet.

Machhindranath chariot will be rided on Friday.

Now that the chariot’s construction is complete, all that remains is for it to be decorated.

This year the chariot will be pulled on Baisakh 11 (April 24).
