Warning to stop allowing the dumping of garbage in Sisdol unless demand are met
In a joint press release, Kakani Rural Municipality and Dhunibeshi Municipality threatened to stop allowing waste from the Kathmandu Valley to be dumped if the six criteria agreed upon last year were not completed within 15 days.

KATHMANDU: Due to the non-implementation of the agreement signed with Banchare Danda and Sisdol dwelling, Kakani Rural Municipality of Nuwakot and Dhunibeshi Municipality of Dhading have issued a warning that they will not permit the dumping of rubbish.
In a joint press release, Kakani Rural Municipality and Dhunibeshi Municipality warned to stop allowing waste from the Kathmandu Valley to be dumped if the six criteria agreed upon last year were not completed within 15 days.
At a meeting on Wednesday, the representatives of the two municipalities pleaded with the participants not to put themselves in such a precarious position if the tasks are not finished in time for the deadline.
Since 18 years ago, the waste from 18 municipalities, including Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has been dumped.
On 2079 Jestha 23 (6 June, 2022), the items in accordance with the agreement reached between the Government of Nepal, the Ministry of Urban Development, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Dhunibeshi Municipality and Kakani Rural Municipality and on Jestha 26 (June 9) between the ward chairs of the affected areas of Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality, Dhunibeshi Municipality and Kakani Rural Municipality have not been implemented, so they are requested to be implemented immediately.
