Weather: Chance of changes & rain in these states

KATHMANDU: According to the meteorologist, there is a partial influence of local and western winds in Nepal now.

Meteorologists have said that there is a possibility of rain in some parts of the country today.

In some areas of the Gandaki, Karnali, and hilly regions of Sudurpaschim State, rain is a possibility.

The mountainous regions of Bagmati and Koshi States could have light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two locations, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology.

The agency predicts that in the afternoon, it will be partially to mostly cloudy in Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State, Gandaki State, and other hilly locations. The weather will normally be pleasant across the rest of the country.

The department said that at night, it will be partly to generally cloudy in other hilly areas including Sudurpaschim State, Karnali State, Lumbini State and Gandaki State. In the rest of the land, the weather will be generally clear.

There is a chance of brief rain with thunder and lightning in a few locations in the hilly regions of the Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States as well as in a few locations in the hilly regions of the Bagmati and Koshi States. The Terai region in the Madhesh and Koshi States may see storms, the department said.
