Therefore, I would like to draw the attention of the government to correct the decision to open Kittakat in the old condition.’

She drew the attention of the government to correct the decision to open Kittakat in the old condition. Similarly, speaking during the emergency, the member of the House of Representatives, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, demanded that a law be made to allow the private sector to trade energy abroad.

He said, ‘In the Power Summit that started yesterday, the Prime Minister said that he will not be able to export electricity even in winter by 2025. For that, to strengthen the marketing, I strongly request that a law be made immediately that the private sector cannot trade energy abroad through P2P.

Also, like in other democratic countries, I also demand that in Nepal, the provision to allow the private sector to participate in electricity supply and business should be mentioned in the same law. I would like to emphasize that this will make the Nepal Electricity Authority more competitive and effective. How long will the law come? I strongly appeal to the departmental minister to inform the House about that.’

He also said that the departmental minister should inform the House when the law will come.
