NA Speaker Timilsina leaves for Russia with 8-member team

KATHMANDU: An eight-member parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has left for Russia today.

Members of the National Assembly, Bamdev Gautam, Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi, Dilkumari Rawal Thapa ‘Parbati’, Mahesh Kumar Mahara and Shekhar Kumar Singh, and Joint Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Sita Kafle Wagle and Private Secretary Uday Timilsina are in the team.
Russian Ambassador to Nepal Alexey Novikov and General Secretary of Federal Parliament Dr. Bharatraj Gautam bid farewell the visiting team at Tribhuvan International Airport.
During the visit, President Timilsina will hold bilateral talks with President of the Russian Upper House Matvienko and President of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
Apart from this, Durga Prasad Sharma, Press Coordinator of Timilsina, informed that the President of the National Assembly met and communicated with the officials of the Russian Government, the Speaker of the State Assembly and the officials of the State Government.
The Nepalese delegation will return home on 12th Baisakh (April 25).
