KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has requested people to stay in mandatory isolation for seven days if they are infected with the COVID-19.
Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, co-spokesperson for the Ministry, has urged that patients with COVID-19 infection be placed in mandatory isolation for seven days.
According to him, there is no requirement to stay in isolation if there are no symptoms, if the person has been in isolation for five days or more, and if the fever goes away within 24 hours without taking fever medicine.
Even if you stay in isolation for seven days and then come out on the eighth day, you are not allowed to interact with other people.
The ministry requested that individuals in isolation stay in a separate room with lots of air and a separate toilet until they meet, wear a mask covering their nose, mouth, and chin and properly handle the used mask, and wash their hands with soap and water on a regular basis.
COVID-19 infection is now increasing on a regular basis. Yesterday, 171 individuals became infected, two died, and 397 became infected.
