Vitamin ‘A’ & deworming medicine administered to children (photos)

KATHMANDU: Today, on Wednesday, children all throughout the country are receiving Vitamin ‘A’ and deworming medications.

At the moment, children from six months to five years are given Vitamin ‘A’ and anti-worm medication.

According to the Public Welfare Department, a Vitamin ‘A’ campaign will be held today and tomorrow across the country.

The target is to reach out to around 2.7 million children for Vitamin ‘A’ capsules and around 2.4 million children for deworming tables.

The government has been carrying out the national Vitamin ‘A’ campaign since 2050 BS and is held twice in the months of Baisakh and Kartik of the Lunar calendar.
