Chances of rain & changes in these states

KATHMANDU: At present, there is a partial effect of local winds and western winds in the country, according to the Weather Forecast Division.

As a result of which there is currently partial to normal change in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Gandaki and Koshi States.

In the afternoon, it will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country.

There is a chance of thundershowers at a few places in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim States and in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Koshi States.

Gale-force winds are possible in various Terai locations in Sudurpaschim and Lumbini States.

There is also a chance of cold weather in several sections of the country, particularly the valley.

At night, there is a chance of temporary rain with lightning in a few spots in the mountainous sections of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as Bagmati and Koshi States.
