Citizenship Bill should be passed quickly as possible: MP Anita Devi

KATHMANDU: Anita Devi, a member of the House of Representatives, has stated that the citizenship bill should be passed as quickly as possible and that citizenship should be granted to the children of Nepali parents who do not have citizenship.

MP Devi voiced her disappointment that the Citizenship Bill was not passed by Parliament during a special session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

She stated that the citizenship bill should be passed by the Parliament as quickly as feasible, and that children of Nepali citizens should be denied their rights because they lack citizenship.
