Consensus between 3 parties to hold a meeting of Constitutional Council for appointment of Chief Justice

KATHMANDU: In the meeting of the top leaders of the 3 main parties, a consensus has been reached to recommend the Chief Justice.
The leader of Nepali Congress, Ramesh Lekhak, said that such an agreement was reached in a meeting held on Tuesday morning at the private residence of CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli in Balkot.
According to him, there is an agreement between the top leaders of the major parties to call a meeting of the Constitutional Council to appoint the Chief Justice.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba participated in the meeting.
