Balkot meeting: Three major parties agree to forward process to appoint CJ

KATHMANDU: The parties have agreed to recommend the Chief Justice.

The senior leaders of the major parties agreed on Sunday to call a meeting of the Constitutional Council to nominate the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, CPN UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The meeting was held at the residence of the main opposition CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli in Balkot.
