KATHMANDU: Top leaders of three parties are meeting in Balkot.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Chair of the CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli will meet to discuss.

Prachanda and Deuba Oli and Speaker Devraj Ghimire have arrived at the Balkot mansion for talks. Prime Minister Prachanda and President Deuba visited Oli’s residence in Balkot and wished him a speedy recovery from viral fever. Along with that, there will be a discussion to reach an agreement to move the bill forward in parliament.

The top officials will discuss the Bill on Constitutional Council, the Bill on Truth and Reconciliation, and the Investigation of Disappeared Citizens, according to Prime Minister’s Press Coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma. Previously, on April 7 and 10, key officials met for a discussion.

The discussion between the top leaders of the three parties, under the coordination of Speaker Devraj Ghimire, was particularly focused on finalizing the bill related to transitional justice.

Discussions are progressing to pass the Transitional Justice-related Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Third Amendment) Bill, 2079.
