CCTV footage of Rabi’s driver falling from two and a half floors at 3:54 found, situation critical
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) of District Police Office Chitwan, Rameshwar Karki, he fell from two and a half floors at 3:54 pm and got seriously injured.
KATHMANDU: The driver of Rabi Lamichhane, President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), fell from the roof of his house and was seriously injured.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) of District Police Office Chitwan, Rameshwar Karki, he fell from two and a half floors at 3:54 pm and got seriously injured.
The driver is 39-year-old Shambhu alias Dil Bahadur Thapa of Bahrbise Municipality-3 in Sindhupalchowk. Thapa fell around 3:54 a.m., according to CCTV footage. ‘He has major injuries to his head and legs,’ added SP Karki, ‘and we have transported him to the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur. The procedure on the skull, which is in critical condition, has begun.’
Driver Thapa and Kaluram Rajbanshi, the driver of RSP General Minister Mukul Dhakal, were sleeping on the roof at night. Thapa had arrived in Damauli in Tanahun with Lamichhane the day before and was expected to travel to Bara today.
