Two died due to COVID at the beginning of the new year

KATHMANDU: At the beginning of the Nepali New Year 2080, two people died due to COVID-19 infection.
One each COVID-infected person died in Chitwan and Kailali.
A 64-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City 10, who was being treated at Chitwan Medical College, died on Saturday. He suffered pneumonia and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
On Aug 8, one person died in Chitwan from COVID-19 infection. Even though the illness has not stopped since then, no one has died as a result of COVID-19.
Similarly, an infected woman died at the Seti State Hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali. According to Shivaraj Joshi, District Administration Office Kailali Information Officer, a 73-year-old woman from Kanchanpur’s Bhimdatta Municipality died of COVID-19 illness.
He died on Sunday morning while receiving treatment in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). On March 26, a woman with heart problems tested positive for COVID-19.
