Jawalakhel climbs on top defeating Manang

KATHMANDU: Jawalakhel Youth Club has ascended to the top of the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League. Jawalakhel ascended to the top rank after defeating Manang Marsyangdi Club 3-0 at Chyasal Ground on Saturday.

Masoabi Nkoto scored two goals in Jawalakhel’s victory. Fode Fofana added a goal.

Masoabi scored in the fourth minute of the game, giving Jawalakhel an early lead. Fofana scored in the second minute of injury time to put Jawalakhel up 2-0. Masoabi then scored his second personal goal in the fourth minute of injury time to give Jawalakhel a 3-0 victory.

With this victory, Jawalakhel now has 17 points in 9 games.

Jawalakhel has risen to first place after a one-point victory over Satdobato Youth Club.

Manang fell to third place with 15 points.
