‘A’ Division: Sankata defeats NRT 2-1

KATHMANDU: Sankata Club defeated New Road Team (NRT) in the Shahid Smarak ‘A’ Division League Football.

Sankata defeated NRT 2-1 at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Wednesday.

Junior Nkengue scored in the 22nd minute to give Sankata an early lead. Manish Dangi scored in the 37th minute to put Sankata up 2-0.

Then, in the 62nd minute, NRT’s Nicholas Serji Song scored, but Sankata triumphed 2-1.

This is Sankata’s third victory. Sankata has 12 points in 8 games.

Sankata has climbed up to eighth place.

NRT has 6 points in 8 games.

NRT is in 11th place after suffering its fourth defeat.
