Top political parties agree to revisit TRC bill issues to make it widely acceptable

KATHMANDU: The top leaders of the major parties have committed to make the Transitional Justice Bill (TRC) fair and universally acceptable.

This agreement was made after a meeting of the top leaders of the three main parties, including the Prime Minister and the Speaker, at the Speaker’s mansion in Baluwatar.

It is said that another meeting will be place on Baisakh 1 (April 14) to discuss the topics to be included in the law and the next steps.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, President  of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chair of the main opposition party CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli.
