UML withdraws support to Karnali CM Raj Kumar Sharma

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has withdrawn its support for Karnali Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma.
Yam Lal Kandel, the leader of the UML state parliamentary party, withdrew his support in a letter to the state chief.
In the letter, it has been informed that the support given to the government has been withdrawn with effect from Monday, April 10.
Three participating ministers resigned from UML on Sunday.
Binod Kumar Shah, Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning in the Karnali State Government, Jeet Bahadur Malla, Minister of Industry, Tourism, Forestry, and Environment, and Tekraj Pachai, Minister of Social Development, all resigned from the UML.
Raj Kumar Sharma, the Maoist Parliamentary Party’s leader, was chosen Chief Minister on Jan 11, with the support of the CPN-UML, Maoist Centre, RPP, and Unified Socialists.
UML exit the government in Karnali with the change of power coalition at the center.
The UML withdrew their support for Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma less than two weeks following the vote of confidence.
