JANAKPURDHAM: Following the Mirchaiya’s Municipality, Siraha began demolishing the homes of squatters and traders people began protesting.

They began protesting after the municipality began demolishing the houses of squatters and traders who had been building dwellings, doing business, and living in the market for nearly seven decades.

They demonstrated in the Mirchaiya market. Instead of protecting them, they have protested saying that the municipality has committed excesses.

Despite local objections, the municipality removed the structures built on the land of the village block and the existing bictory as encroachment some time ago. However, as a result of the municipality’s action without assuring that they may live and live by doing business, they have become homeless, and they have lost their source of income owing to business closures.

They have demanded that immediate arrangements be made for them to live and conduct business, that the municipality assess the damage caused by demolishing the house and compensate them, that they be given a red portion of the land they are living on, and that they be investigated and given justice as a result of the excesses committed against them.

They have threatened to strong demonstrate if their demands are not met.
