Sunrise Bank provides a scholarship of 70 lakhs to Nepal Police Academy
The deal was inked on Wednesday during a ceremony at Naxal Police Headquarters.
KATHMANDU: Sunrise Bank provided a scholarship of 69 lakh 80 thousand 634 to students at Nepal Police School as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank has provided scholarships to 15 students from grades 4 to 12, with the goal of motivating the descendants of serving, retired, immortal martyrs, and disabled police officers to study in 8 different Nepal Police schools who are willing to work for Nepal and the Nepali people, according to the bank.
The deal was inked on Wednesday during a ceremony at Naxal Police Headquarters.
The Nepal Police Educational Scholarship Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Bank’s Deputy General Manager Rabin Kumar Nepal and Nepal Police Senior Superintendent Kedar Dhakal.
The event was attended by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Suman Sharma, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Aarati Rajya Laxmi Rana, Deputy General Manager Rabin Kumar Nepal, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basant Bahadur Kunwar, distinguished Nepal Police personnel, and high-ranking bank officials.
Mr. Suman Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, stated that this scholarship program will provide additional inspiration to Nepal Police students studying in various Nepal Police schools to progress.
Sunrise Bank prioritizes corporate social responsibility by rolling out programs in education, health, banking literacy, environmental protection, and other areas across the country in stages. Last year alone, the bank ran more than 150 corporate social responsibility activities.
