I chose Sanghai’s group as winning election would be simple: Jyotsana Shrestha

KATHMANDU: Jyotsana Shrestha, the candidate for vice-chair of the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, stated that he chose Ramchandra Sanghai because the group election was easy to win.

Speaking to the media after the announcement of Ram Chandra Sanghai’s panel on Sunday, she stated that she chose Sanghai’s group asshe was confident that Ram Chandra Sanghai’s group would win the election.

Shrestha stated that Anjan Shrestha, the senior vice president candidate, announced the team without a plan, stating that he would suggest journalists.

She said that she will stay wherever she feels comfortable in the election. She also stated that she left Shrestha’s group because she felt more at ease in Sanghai’s.

She stated that she had reached a point where she felt at ease with Shrestha’s group. She stated that everyone from the same group cannot rise to the same position, and she has come to create an environment in which only two candidates, rather than three, will run for the position of Associate Vice Chair.

‘We will go to whichever group is easier to win the election. I came to the Shanghai team easily,’ she said, ‘rather than being cheated, I should see the victory of the team. After I became the vice chair, it is my responsibility to win over 19 people, I don’t care who says what.

She stated that she left Shrestha’s panel with a positive mindset and came to Sanghai’s panel with the same mindset. She stated that all three announced teams are strong and urged voters to vote for the team that can take the lead in solving voters’ problems.

Jyotsana Shrestha announced on March 14 at a press conference that she will run for the position of Associate Vice Chiar from Anjan Shrestha’s group. However, as the election approached, she left Anjan’s team and joined Sanghai’s.

Ram Chandra Sanghai, along with the panel, has announced his candidacy for the position of senior vice chair of the federation.

Surkrishna Vaidya is the vice president for the district city on the Sanghai panel, Sakuntlala Hirachan is the vice president for the objective, and Jyotsana Shrestha is the vice president for the associate.
