KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank Limited has completed a financial literacy program in all seven states in honor of ‘Global Money Week 2079’.

The program was organized by the bank’s regional office and 24 branch offices located in those states.

Students from various colleges, parents, teachers, social workers, businessmen, bank customers, and other residents of the area were all educated on banking through the program.

The program informed participants about the bank’s various services and facilities, basic banking knowledge, the importance of financial literacy, how to prepare personal and family budgets for financial arrangements, how to improve saving habits, various loans provided by the bank, including subsidized loans, and so on.

According to the bank, detailed information has been provided on subjects such as grant eligibility, the legal remittance process, illegal hundi and its negative consequences, the clean note policy and how to preserve notes, and so on.
