Election Office set aside time for parties to register their nominations in Tanahun
Time has been set to CPN UML at 11 AM, Congress at 12 PM, RPP at 1 PM and RSP at 2 PM.
DAMAULI: Following the election of Ram Chandra Poudel as President, nominations for the by-election in vacant Tanahun-1 are being accepted today, and the District Coordination Committee has established an election office in Tanahun.
The office has set aside time for each party to submit nominations. If the parties arrive all at once, according to Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Meen Bahadur Kunwar, there will be a crowd.
Time has been set to CPN UML at 11 AM, Congress at 12 PM, RPP at 1 PM and RSP at 2 PM.
The Congress Party has nominated Govinda Bhattarai, the UML has nominated Sarbendra Khanal, and the RSP has nominated Swarnim Wagle, who recently left the Congress Party.
Shobha Gurung has been nominated as RPP’s candidate. Urdi has issued a directive to not gather more than 25 people for nomination registration.
