NEPSE index drops 20 points to close at 1,888.55

KATHMANDU: On Sunday, the stock market fell by double digits on the first day of trading in the week.

On Sunday, the NEPSE index fell by 20 points to 1,888.55 points.

Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the share turnover of large companies, decreased by 3.72 points to 355.75 points.

Earlier, the NEPSE index fell by 10.87 points to reach 1908.55 points on Thursday, the last trading day of last week.

On Sunday, 37 lakh 87 thousand 241 shares of 260 companies were bought and sold on the NEPSE, totaling more than 1 billion 20 crore 71 lakh rupees in turnover.

Similarly, the NEPSE index has increased by 23 companies. 189 companies have decreased, while 4 have remained stable.

NIC Asia Bank leads the pack in terms of transactions. The aforementioned bank has completed more than 5 transactions.

Sivam Cement is in the second place. The said company’s revenue exceeds 4 crore 51 lakh rupees.

All sub-indices were closed on Sunday.

The majority of the trading index companies have fallen by 2.58 percent.

Today, approximately 10% of Kalinchowk Darshan’s shares were traded.
