KATHMANDU: Dr. Sunil Sharma, a Congress leader and MP, has inquired about the health of Dr. Chandra Bhandari, who is undergoing treatment.
On Saturday, he went with a team of doctors to meet Bhandari, who is being treated at the National Burns Center in Mumbai, India, and learn more about her condition.
On behalf of the party, MP Sharma also came to meet Dr. Shankarman Rai, chief plastic surgeon of Burn Center.
After meeting with the treated leader Bhandari, he stated that his health has significantly improved. “Dr. Sharma understands all of Chandra Bhandari’s conditions, and everything is going well,” he said, adding that “he (Dr. Bhandari) is likely to be discharged from the hospital within a month as he is improving rapidly.”
Dr. Bhandari has been receiving care at the Burns Center since Feb 16.
On Feb 15, Bhandari and his mother were injured as a result of a gas leak in their home in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu.
His 86-year-old mother died during treatment at Kirtipur Hospital.
