Newly appointed ministers took oath at Sheetal Niwas

KATHMANDU: The newly appointed ministers were sworn in at the President’s Office Sheetal Niwas.

President Ram Chandra Poudel has appointed ministers on the recommendation of Prime Minister Prachanda.
Among the newly appointed ministers, Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka from the Congress has become the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Finance, Ramesh Rijal Industry, Commerce and Supply and Sita Gurung as the Urban Development Minister.
Similarly, Ashok Rai, a JSP member, has been appointed Minister of Education, Science, and Technology.
Beduram Bhusal, Vice Chair of the CPN-S, has been appointed Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Prakash Jwala, Deputy General Secretary, has been appointed Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
Shakti Basnet, Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center, has been appointed Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the Deputy Prime Minister, has been appointed Home Minister. On December 26, he was appointed Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
