RSP says – ‘Positive discussions have been held with Swarnim’

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) met with economist Dr Swarnim Wagle, who left the Nepali Congress.

Mukul Dhakal, General Minister and Spokesperson, stated that the RSP met with Wagle, who announced his seperation from the Congress, on Thursday morning.

‘In the morning there was a general discussion and conversation,’ Dhakal told Makalu Khabar. A meeting was held with the party’s chair and deputy chair. Wagle ji, they say, is on our side. On the phone, there was a conversation.’

He, however, declined an offer to run as a candidate from Raswapa in the Tanahun 1 by-election.

‘This subject has not been accepted,’ he said, ‘Friends have to talk with love. But the discussion is positive.’
